Just life noise

Just in case you haven’t been fortunate enough to view this Old Spice commercial, here it is for you to watch and (hopefully) chuckle along with me.

P.S- Apparently Lynx deodorant sales went up by 20% in the 4 weeks following their commercial that showed a multitude of model-like women running towards a beach where a very average man was slathering himself in the product.

It’s sad how our insecurities can equate to dollars spent. Marketers are getting too good at exposing the flaws of our human natures. Wily, wily marketers.

Btw, here’s another marketing line I read about the Leapfrog tag products that assist in reading: “Let your child read his own book to sleep.” Because God forbid we’d ever want to actually read books to our children!* (Okay, there was some sarcasm in there. Heavy, heavy sarcasm. Some things just don’t come across clearly in written form. I blame talent.)

* To be fair-I have no hardcopy proof of this. I DID read it in a brochure, but it may have been a marketing line produced by the department store that was a reseller of the Tag books, and possibly never officially endorsed by the Leapfrog company. I had to be fair.
